The multi-function LF-D311 is a breakthrough DVD storage solution that delivers both the hard drive random-access functionality of DVD-RAM technology and the broad compatibility of DVD-R technology for disk playback on existing DVD players, recorders and DVD-ROM drives.

The LF-D311 incorporates Panasonic's 15 years of experience in high-density, phase-change-type recording/reading technology and builds on the company's experience of delivering more than two million highly-reliable rewritable DVD drives.

The all-in-one DVD storage drive offers a single interchangeable solution for professional video and DVD development and testing. A single LF-D311 can be utilized for high-capacity, removable storage for corporate and professional video authoring and editing, as well as provide backup archiving and video playback and low-cost, limited-run distribution.

The world's fastest* 2.4x DVD+RW/DVD+R write (equivalent to 22x on CD drives). It only takes a little over 20 minutes to complete writing job for 4GB of data.


"Background Formatting" supports quick formatting for random access writing on DVD+RW; just a little over one minute is all you need. MP5125A initially formats the lead-in and data areas that are necessary to start initial writing, and it then automatically resumes formatting for the remaining portions in the background when writing/reading is not processed.


DVD+RW allows free appending/deleting/formatting, just like CD-RW. With its large storage capacity of 4.7GB, it can also handle large amounts of data.

Lossless Linking technology keeps the gap between data within 1 micron when adding/editing data. High Frequency Wobbled Groove* that is defined in DVD+RW Format makes precise positioning possible. Data on DVD+RW/+R discs, therefore, maintain high compatibility with DVD-ROM drives and DVD players, even after data is added or edited.

JustLink™ is Ricoh's technology that prevents 'buffer underrun errors' which occur in CD- R/RW writing.
It improves stability in fast writing, allows writing job while working with another application, and enables on-the-fly data writing on network.This technology benefits you in every aspects of writing job.
